Bible Study

The purpose of Bible  Study in our parish  is to gain a deeper understanding of our faith and its relationship to our lives through the study of God's Word.

Do you wish you had more peace of mind? Could you use more wisdom in your decision-making? Do you ever wonder how to grow in wisdom? You may not realize that Scripture offers us wisdom that actually relates to our daily lives. Through the wisdom literature of the Bible, God shows us how to walk in his vision for our happiness and well-being, as he created us to do. The wisdom literature—Proverbs, Wisdom, Sirach, and Ecclesiastes—shows us that God has showered us in livable wisdom.

Wisdom: God’s Vision for Life is your guide to learning how to gather, gain, and grow in wisdom in your daily life. If you want to know what it means to live with God’s wisdom and are ready to dive deeper into applying Scripture to your life, I invite you to join us for Wisdom, beginning on January 31, 2018. You will not only benefit personally from being part of this study; you will also help us to grow in fellowship as a parish as we grow closer to Christ together.

Participants of Wisdom will receive a journal and will meet every week on Wednesday morning/evening to view an engaging video presentation followed by a time of lively group discussion and fellowship. The eight 30-minute videos, presented by Jeff Cavins, will guide you through a variety of themes drawn from the wisdom literature of Scripture. Jeff will explain Scripture’s wisdom on decision-making, finances, relationships, peace of mind, and speaking to one another and will look at the beauty of wisdom gained through age and at how Christ himself is the embodiment and fulfillment of all wisdom.

We will begin on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 10:00 AM for morning session and 6:00 PM for evening session. Registration is now being accepted in the church office during the regular business hours. Cost of workbook or a journal is $18.00 and can be purchased at the Church Office.
